Simon Rothstein has worked in the national media for two decades, including spending more than 12 years as an award-winning journalist and editor for an eclectic range of press outlets including The Sun, The Guardian and talkSPORT.
Simon worked across print, web, broadcast and mobile – regularly making headlines around the world with exclusive stories and interviews – giving him a unique insight into exactly what makes a news story across every different platform.
He set up SRX Consultancy in 2010 in order to bring his expertise to projects and clients he was passionate about, helping them with all aspects of consumer engagement – from securing press coverage to planning marketing strategy to creating, managing and growing social media accounts.
Simon has also remained an active writer and editor, producing publications and helping clients develop articles and comment pieces for press.
When at home, Simon is a hands-on dad of two young children – with who he regularly shares his loves of music, film, food, Nintendo and Arsenal.
Lauren Soar has spent the last decade working in PR, social media and events, representing brands and organisations including IMPACT Wrestling, WWE, UFC, Hard Rock Cafe, Festival Republic, Weetabix, Emma Bridgewater, Carole Nash, Williams F1, Regatta Great Outdoors, The North West Football Awards, Barrett Homes and The Environment Agency.
Lauren has run social media accounts with hundreds of thousands of followers and worked on multi-million pound campaigns and events, from managing budgets of all sizes to starting hugely successful accounts from scratch.
Her areas of expertise include strategy development, client relationship management and retention, talent management, media handling, social media management and strategy and event planning.
Away from work, Lauren is a keen environmentalist with a passion for music and animals. She sings in a country band, studies herbalism and spends her downtime with her professional wrestler husband, dog and cat.
Garrett Kidney has run social media accounts with hundreds of thousands of followers – helping to deliver record performance and growth including year on year increases ranging from 78% to 277%.
His areas of expertise include audience engagement, digital strategy, content creation, community building, copywriting and editing.
A graduate of University College Cork with a degree in Commerce and a Master’s Degree in Economic Science, he brings a combined knowledge base of analytics and consumer engagement to social media. He has written extensively for a wide range of publications and runs a popular YouTube channel reviewing console games.
Garrett also brings a wealth of web experience having spent two years managing the day to day running of the website for Matchbook Betting Exchange.
While not at work he enjoys videos games, movies and sports – including supporting Sheffield United through good times and bad.
